3 of My New Favorite Things

The below 3 things are some of my new favorite items.

  1. Holistic Select Dog Food
Lamb Meal Dry Dog Food

We recently changed our dogs food to Holistic Select.  Since I am always trying to find healthier ways to feed my family, I thought why not include our other babies, our two rescue dogs, Cheyenne and Axl.  I wanted to put them on one of the best dog foods on the market.  We buy our pet food at Hollywood Feed, and the salesperson highly recommended Holistic Select.  She said all of the employees feed their animals this product.  Not only do both dogs enjoy the food, but Axl, our boxer/beagle mix, no longer has booty issues.  We used to take Axl in to the vet many times to have his anal glands expressed (gross, I know), but ever since he has been eating Holistic Select, no more trips to the vet for this unpleasant experience.  The Vet seemed quite intrigued by this and was going to do some research on this product.  I also joined their website, and once I buy so many bags of food, I will get one free.  Also by joining their website, I have access to coupons.  What do you feed your animals?

# 2.  Consumer Reports (website and magazine)

When I am thinking of making a significant purchase, I like to research my options on Consumer Reports website.  My parents are members, so I use their log-in/i.d. and get to researching.  For example, I researched which Convertible Car Seat to buy when we needed to upgrade little K from her infant seat to a convertible seat.  The one I thought was supposed to be the best, actually didn't receive the highest score.  The highest score seat was actually cheaper.  We also used Consumer Reports to help us in our decision on which vehicle we wanted to purchase.  Now, I use it for almost everything.  It will even tell you which face moisturizers came out on top and which ones didn't.  You might be surprised by their finding's!

Did you know they also have a magazine?  It is AWESOME!  There are no advertisements, and many of the articles pertain to what I am interested in.  The November 2011 issue included articles I fancied such as laundry detergent, recycling batteries (which I have been recently researching where to take them), and 50 fabulous shopping sites.  So before you pay to become a Consumer Reports member, check out their magazine.

# 3  Dr. Pepper Ten

I am a HUGE Dr. Pepper fan.  I only allow myself the "real deal" once in a while and most of the times will choose Diet Dr. Pepper instead.  But, what? What is this beautiful new beverage up there on the shelf?  The coupon in the paper sealed the fate for me and the new "Ten" to become an item.  Oh how "bold" it is!!  Those 10 bold calories really do taste just like the "real" Dr. Pepper.  Have you tried it?

What are some of your favorite things?
